Welcome to the Illinois Heartland Library System The New Athens District Library is now part of the Illinois Heartland Library System. As of July 1, 2011 the former Illinois library systems of Lewis and Clark, Lincoln Trial, Rolling Prairie and Shawnee no longer exist. These 4 systems have merged into the Illinois Heartland Library System.
